Looking for a new office in Sacramento

by jonathan on Thu, 04/17/2008 - 19:42

We're working hard to find a new office in Sacramento, as we've already outgrown our 1300 SQ foot office (6 months!). If you know someone, or have an idea of where we can find great new digs in downtown Sacramento, I'd love some help.

We've found one place that looks pretty rad. It's 3000 square feet, with a basement, two stories, and plenty of room to set up our new digs. We're hoping its enough space that we can finally start hosting Barcamps and the Sacramento DUG in the building, instead of always going out. We should be able to set up a nice barbeque for the summer months as well.

Inside it's pretty nice (very real-estate):

I looked at another office in Davis:

It's really nice, great light, but unfortunately, they want a long term lease, which is something I'd like to avoid.

Jason and Kevin joined us from our Los Angeles / Long Beach office for a week, and we had a great time flying the five meter kites in the fields behind the office. I love kiting, and I've gotten most of the office into flying them. They'll rip you right off the ground and take you for a ride. Kevin at the controls:

Jason shows his skills:

Then disappears over the horizon:

Jason crashes:

But gets the hang of it:

We also got the first round of 30" monitors for the staff today (1/2 the company is now outfitted, more to come).

Adam likes it:

Dom finds out what's really useful about these things:

Dom apparently enjoys his job:

Aaron fakes it:

That's about it -that's the update for WorkHabit. So much more to come, as we roll the new site out... we finally have f/t people working on it.
